Monday - As it is known, local resident Ethan David Crouse was appointed Prince of Mariemont before great fanfare. Before the assembled council he was given his crown, and was conferred upon him the honorific title of Augustus.

But how do the masses who have lived for generation under the Old Republic feel about this current change? Investigative journalists report on the scene to gauge the often turbulent public opinion.

Mariemont High School had long been ruled by the controversial 2nd Republic.

Mariemont High School has long been ruled by a controversial republic.

The implications of this political were made clear in the halls of the school when it was annoucned that the National Parade this Friday would have the new prince sitting next to current President and Chief Executive Amanda Lewis.

After great hassle, Pacemaker reporters were able to get into contact with a government member, Representative Micheal Reber. On the issue of the melding of royal and representative governments, Representative Reber claimed that "As a student council representative, I'd have to say 4."

Interviews with residents in the halls showed a mixed opinion of the recent changes in government. Investigative journalist Cohen M. Bailey, though highly supportive of the Prince, predicted grim upheavals. Though civil war seems unlikely, Mr. Bailey sees several high-profile assasinations in the near future. AJ Walter highly supported both institutions, speaking for student council by claiming "First of all, class president, grade A work, fantastic work I've seen for on. The float. I mean a frickin' fountain... a frickin' fountain! A fountain on a float! I mean a fountain, a fountain, Gordo! Gordon, let's get this straight up, Mrs. Richarsdon, best teacher in the school. 8 different courses in 7 bells," where on the prince himself he claims that "in every decision they make I fully agree with, I would die for them." Finally, Fletcher expressed serious concerns in regard to Student Council corruption, but heralded the rise of Ethan crouse as benefiting the school, and a sign of a "real brighter future."

It is unknown whether or not Prince Ethan will maintain the old flag or impose a new, Crouse-centered flag.

Incredibly, in an exclusive Pacemaker interview, reporters Gordon and Cohen managed to talk to the royal family, Prince Ethan David Augustus Crouse and Princess Madeline Moriarty. Thorugh the interview, it became clear that Princess Madeline Moriarty had no intention of being a figurehead, and hoped to see her own political aspirations and ambitions come into being. To quote Princess Madeline Moriarty in response to a question regarding the future of Mariemont under Prince Ethan Augustus: "Pretty well -- We're in pretty good hands, unless I don't try to usurp power."

Finally, in regards to this auspicious occasion, Prince Ethan Augustus himself commented the following:

"I would just like to say, that I'm happy that last night there was a Blood Moon, a sign of the coming king. A message"
